About Phil English

Phil English is a traditional fender-maker having lived, worked and travelled the UK canal system in a 110 year old ex Fellows Morton & Clayton working boat. He now has premises at Glascote Basin Boatyard, Tamworth making traditional and bespoke rope canal boat fenders using only the highest quality materials.

As a time served fender-maker, he is lucky enough to have been guided and encouraged by the very best in the business, he pushed himself hard to perfect his skills/style and has many people complimenting his work. He also promotes the craft of fender-making by teaching the craft and doing demonstrations at various events, past ones include the Braunston Historic Boat Rally, The International Guild of Knot Tyers Annual General Meeting and for the Crick Historical Society.
