Coach Painting and Signwriting
The production of flawless steel shells is Norton Canes main output, though the production of a fully fitted boat is scarcely complete at this stage. Graham prefers to grit blast steel shells prior to painting. This removes mill scale and provides an ideal foundation for a superb coach painted livery.

Grit blasting is undertaken in a dedicated workshop and then transfers the shell to the centrally heated paint dock which provides ideal conditions for the perfect finish.

With coach painting complete, sign writing, graining and traditional decoration is applied by Dave Moore.

Dave has a lifetimes experience in traditional liveries and is a founder member of the Waterways Craft Guild. Both he and Graham hold Masters Accreditation’s in their chosen fields.
